Email Newsletters
While I’ve been at DCPS, I have consistently managed two newsletters: the Opportunities Newsletter for Teachers and the Recommended Pool Newsletter. The Opportunities Newsletter is a bi-monthly newsletter that includes professional development opportunities, Teacher policy updates, articles about DCPS and DCPS teachers, and teacher accomplishments. This newsletter is sent to all current teachers, educational aides, substitute teachers, school leaders, assistant principals, central office managers, and directors, totaling more than 9K users. The Recommended Pool is a monthly newsletter sent to all Teacher candidates who are screened and moved into a pool of approved candidates for school leaders to hire. Content in this newsletter can include upcoming hiring fairs, information about schools and their vacancies, articles about DCPS and DCPS teachers, and any workshops or webinars the Talent Acquisition and Retention team hosts.

Digital Audit + Media Plan
When I was in my previous role at Social Driver we created many social and web audits for our clients to provide analytics and strategic recommendations before beginning a campaign of any kind. Below you can find the digital media audit I created for the DCPS Talent Acquisition and Retention team’s sub-brand, JoinDCPS, when I came onto the team in 2019. In the audit, I reviewed the previous communications work that the team had done, what we were doing when I came on to the team, and what I hoped for our communications work moving forward after being in the role for a year.

Design
While I am not a designer, I have had the opportunity to do some design work across all the roles I’ve had. In my current role, I have done most of our design work and branding. You can find a few examples of banners and marketing collateral that I have designed below.
Mentorship + Student Engagement
With the University of Georgia, I serve as an advisory council member for the New Media Institute (NMI), where I received my undergraduate certificate, and also serve as a mentor for UGAHacks, the university’s official hackathon, where I was previously an organizer. Within these roles, I occasionally review student resumes, guest lecture for the NMI, and offer advice/mentor students who are transitioning out of their undergraduate studies.
