Axon was a tutoring service platform dedicated to helping students on college campuses survive their toughest classes. It started at the University of Georgia in 2014 and helped over 2.4K students get better grades across four different universities. In 2015 and 2016 I had the opportunity to work at Axon as its Marketing and Social Media Manager until it was acquired by Tutor Matching Services in May 2016.

While at Axon, along with daily social media management, I lead the Axon Stories project, a blog series dedicated to exploring the career paths and journeys of alumni from Axon schools. With this project, I was able to interview many high-profile alumni and learn about how they got where they are today.

Axon Stories

In 2016, Axon decided to take another approach on its marketing efforts and started a blog series on various alumni. I created the blog, conducted interviews, designed graphics and lead the content creation for this series. Axon Stories centered around accomplished alumni and their post-grad journey to success. Each blog post generated 500+ views and reads. Some of high-profile interviews included Christina Warren, formerly of Mashable, Chad Mumm of Vox, Roger Hunter of NASA, Maxine Clark of Build-A-Bear Workshop and Jimmy Barge of Lionsgate

There are many more stories than the ones mentioned above. Take a look at the series here and read about the alumni I had the opportunity to speak with.
